Training
Our training program is structured into different types of approaches depending on the age of the foals.
FOAL
From weaning, 6-8 months, up to 1 year.
From the time weaning begins, we dedicate a month or more of work to taming the foals and accustoming them to human contact; from cleaning to leading the foal to riding in the trailer.
YEARLING
Foals between 1 and 2 years old.
The work done at 6-8 months is resumed to teach the foal lead work, including training to make contact with the saddle, allowing it to become familiar with the saddle and then work it from the ground.
TWO YEARS OLD
Foals aged 2 to 3 years.
The work on horseback begins until the rider becomes fully familiar with the various gaits. From here, and not before, the real training work begins on the various reining maneuvers, with the necessary graduality, respecting the foal's growth rate as much as possible, recognizing its aptitudes and limitations, to create a horse of tomorrow, guaranteeing him solidity and a long career.
THREE YEARS OLD
Foals aged 3 to 4 years.
This is a period of refining
the various maneuvers, and the horse itself will decide how much
its potential can be expressed depending on its physical and mental maturity.
From here, the foals begin to gain
their first experiences in different arenas and at competition venues.
FINISH HORSES
The work at this point consists of keeping the horses trained and fit, increasing their solidity and, if necessary, their mental serenity, working more on the horse's weak points.
HORSES WITH BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS
Our center rehabilitates horses with behavioral problems.
